Marc Ratcliffe

Marc is the CEO and founder of MRWED Training and Assessment, Australia’s leading provider of “Trainer Training” and a four time “Great Place to Work”. 

He has been involved in Workplace and Vocational Education for 21 years and has conducted more than 300 Training and Assessment courses over the past 15 years. He is the author of the “The Trainer’s Toolkit” and the forthcoming book “The Trainer’s Cook Book” and is one of Australia’s most in-demand conference speakers and workshop facilitators.

He has presented training-related workshops internationally in the UK, North America, Africa and Asia and is one of only two people in the country certified to deliver Bob Pike’s Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp.

Marc is a Registered Teacher and has completed a Masters of Education, specialising in Adult and Workplace Education. In 2009, he was named as one of the top 10 young trainers in the world by US Training Magazine and was awarded a Global HR Award for "Strategic Leadership" by the World HRD Congress in 2012. Marc continues to push the boundaries of “edu-tainment” and believes that participant interaction and fun are integral to the learning experience.

 

Stephen Murphy

Stephen is a dynamic and engaging speaker with the ability to break down complex information in a relevant and easy to understand fashion. He has an extensive history in sales-based training as well as in customer service, process and systems training.

Formally an instructor in the Australian Army, Stephen has added to this experience with 12 years in the civilian space. In this time, he has enjoyed a variety of State and National training roles where he had direct impact on performance improvement in the organisations he worked. More recently, Stephen has become a popular conference speaker, giving presentations in Australia and overseas.

Jason Ash

Jason has more than 12 years of training and assessment experience, gained predominantly in corporate environments. He has specialised in delivering training in sales, coaching, business communication and management and has received international acclaim for his work in Learning and Development. Jason was the winner of the Platinum Award for Best Young Learning Leader at the 2011 LearnX Asia-Pacific Awards and was named a young trainer to watch by US Training Magazine in 2012. In addition to his dynamic face-to-face facilitation, Jason has built skills in developing effective online training programs and has been heavily involved in the customisation of training material to meet unique client needs. In his two years as a Store Manager for Fone Zone he played an integral part in the growth and development of his team members and transformed his store into one of the country’s most profitable. Jason is a two-time MRWED Trainer of the year and is one of only two trainers to be certified in Bob Pike’s Train-the-Trainer Boot Camp, the world’s most well-respected trainer training program.

Steven Fox

Steve comes to MRWED from and Outdoor Education background, but he is equally effective in traditional learning environments. He has more than 13 years of experience in instruction and facilitation and his career has involved roles in team-building, leadership development, planning and organising, event management, and training program design. In his spare time he is involved in the mentoring and coaching young people at risk via experiential learning in outdoor environments.

Vijay Naidoo

Vijay is an accomplished Learning and Development practitioner with substantive experience in health and education sectors and has specialist expertise in quality management systems and continuous improvement in learning. Vijay has worked in both the Higher Education sector and within Vocational Education and Training and brings an enthusiastic and participant-centred approach to the organisation. She has held numerous Quality Improvement and Accreditation positions within the NSW Health system facilitating state benchmarking projects and developing and delivering in house training programs. A very rewarding 5 year stint as the Subject Coordinator and Lecturer in Quality Management in Health in a postgraduate program at Wollongong University enabled Vijay to hone in her natural Learning Leader talents. She has a "can do" attitude, energy and passion for nurturing and supporting individuals, organisations and communities to perform at their best.

Anthony Josephs

Anthony brings together more than 20 years of Training and Facilitation experience from all over the globe. Originally from New Zealand, Anthony has travelled the world adding to his trainer’s tool bag and today finds himself to be a fierce advocate for lifelong learning. He has a passion to develop confident and highly effective participants and his high energy inspires candidates to work at their best. Anthony demands attention with a unique style that combines real-world expertise with genuine charisma. Anthony balances his training commitments with community work encouraging resilience and confidence in a faith-based context.

Maree Davidson

Maree has 23 years experience working in a range of community service and learning and development roles. She began her career as a youth worker coordinating a support service for homeless young people in Melbourne. She has since worked in metropolitan and regional settings managing projects, developing teams and promoting partnerships for the development of social and affordable housing. Most recently however, she has focused her passion for learning and development of the VET sector, acquiring a broader range of skills to offer as a workforce development consultant. She has a proven track record managing teams, project management and community engagement and manages to combine her busy schedule with a part time role with CANH, the South Australian peak body for Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses. Her role is to develop training programs and other initiatives aimed at building the sector's workforce capacity. Additionally, she is the service excellence project officer for Indigenous services.

Damian Noud

Damian has more than 20 years of experience training and assessing at universities and private colleges. Through his roles as a Director of Studies and then Principal at NSW and QLD private training organisations, Damian has had substantial practical management experience in Australia's VET sector. After completing an Honours degree in Economics, he obtained a Masters of Business Administration in addition to relevant vocational qualifications in Training and Assessment. Damian relies upon his extensive experience in the VET industry in his current role as MRWED's Quality and Strategic Development Manager. In addition to this role, Damian led the development of MRWED Online and has delivered in excess of 500 days of face-to-face instruction in trainer training.

 

Col Fullerton

Col has been involved in training for 20 years. This has involved delivering training in customer service, project management, team building and computer technology, to name but a few. Most recently he delivered the Unisys "Train the Trainer" program both locally and internationally for almost 15 years. This work took him to diverse marketplaces such as Singapore, China, Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand and the United States. Col has been with MRWED since January 2001 and has delivered over 100 courses. Col has numerous international qualifications in training and development as well as possessing Australian qualifications in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Geoff Cake

Geoff brings more than 25 years of training and facilitation experience to the organisation, gained in both Australian and international environments. He continues to passionately demonstrate the ability to encourage learners to develop new skills and mind sets in a variety of diverse cultural and economic settings. He is a qualified celebrant, having officiated hundreds of ceremonies over the past two decades.

He balances his MRWED commitments with community work encouraging resilience and confidence amongst those at most risk in our community. One example of this, is the work Geoff has done in pioneering the establishment of a not-for-profit organisation, focused on training and leadership development. As part of this activity, he continues to develop organisational systems based on a volunteer work force, whilst concurrently working full time to assist funding the organisation.

 

 

Phillip Jefford

Phillip brings a strong background in Learning and Development and Project Management to the team.  This includes experience in both the corporate sector and within RTO environments. Originally building his career in management roles, Phillip has since moved into the training world, specializing in organizational leadership, professional development and coaching skills. His ability to relate his workplace experience to training has made him an engaging and interesting facilitator. For the past 13 years he has designed and delivered training for a wide variety of participants, primarily in the business and finance spheres and his has allowed him to focus on his passion for developing people to reach their potential.

 

Blair Dunn

Blair has more than 10 years of experience working in the fields of Education, Human Resources and Community Services.  With a background in personnel development and capacity building, Blair is a perfect fit for our Learning Support Team.  Prior to joining the MRWED, Blair worked for an employment services provider delivering compliance training to sites across Queensland.  She has previously gained a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and recently completed a Master of Business along with relevant vocational qualifications in Training and Assessment. Blair has a passion for delivering timely, high quality support to help people achieve their educational goals.

Leonie Barnes

Leonie is an experienced senior project manager with over fifteen years of humanitarian and development experience in Australia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Mozambique, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kosova, Laos, Lebanon, Jordan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Sudan (North and South), Switzerland, USA, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Leonie brings training to life, dealing with people of all backgrounds, ethnicity and culture. Leonie has extensive experience consulting to international and national organisations in training, development and monitoring and loves the opportunity to share her experiences and stories.

 

 

Bronwyn Rowbotham

Bronwyn has over 23 years experience in education with roles ranging from secondary to tertiary and vocational training, predominantly in the disciplines of legal studies, business management and history. Her qualifications and expertise also include careers counselling where she worked in secondary schools throughout metropolitan and rural Victoria. She is also qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator a personality profiling tool, often focussing on learning styles.

Bronwyn has taught in Malaysia and worked in Spain as a volunteer improving the English of Spanish adults. Additionally, during her career Bronwyn has worked in many industries including Hospitality & Tourism, Sales & Marketing, Logistics and government. She has completed a number of project management contracts in industries ranging from Cemeteries to Facilities Maintenance. In her spare time she enjoys writing, travelling, folk festivals and singing.

Anne Hales

Anne has had 23 years  of experience in the training field. She is passionate about creating positive learning experiences for all students, but is particularly skilled in engaging culturally diverse audiences. Initially specialising in Management and Human Resources, she quickly moved into work with school-based traineeships and face-to-face delivery in a variety of TAFE environments. Most recently,  Anne has been focused on workplace training (both in and outside the classroom), and continues her association with the school-based VET sector through writing exam papers and sitting on curriculum review panels.
